CSI pleased to announce the acquisition of EZ Flash II and TEA
On June thirtieth 2006, our US Sister company Advanced Chromatography Systems, LLC (ACS), headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, closed an asset purchase agreement with Waltham, Massachusetts based Thermo Electron Corporation (NYSE:TMO) to acquire the Environmental Instruments Division, Water Analysis Instruments, Chromatography Product Lines known as The EZ Flash II Gas Chromatograph Accessory and the TEA Analyzer Organic Nitrogen Detector.
The EZ Flash II is an accessory for conventional gas chromatography systems, that allows them to perform fast GC analyses (10-20 times faster than a conventional GC).
The TEA Analyzer is a highly sensitive and specific detection system for detecting nitrogen containing compounds. The selectivity for nitrogen-containing compounds is effectively infinite as the detector responds to nitrogen compounds in a ratio equal to the number of nitrogen atoms present.
The EZ Flash II and the TEA serve a niche in the market adding strength to our product portfolio. The EZ Flash II also distinguishes ACS/CSI as the only scientific instrument manufacturer that can offer a stand alone Fast GC System as well as a Fast GC Accessory to the customer.
Chromatography systems are used in the Pharmaceutical, Homeland Security, Medical, Flavors & Fragrance, Food & Beverage, Petrochemical, and Environmental industries to perform various discrete chemical analysis procedures.
